Highly recommend the mantu (lamb dumplings topped with yogurt and lentils) for starters and very flavourful mixed grill for 2 persons, the grill comes with several different types of beef and lamb cuts and chicken, as well as rice and a huge Afghan naan bread. Very flavourful and beautifully marinated. The strawberry mojito was also tops. Nice decor, good atmosphere. It's great being able to see the food being cooked in the open kitchen.

Amazing Food and Superb Service!
We had a fantastic experience at Watan in Tooting. From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely superb, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home throughout the entire meal.
The food was amazing across the board, but the absolute standout was the Kabuli Palaw. It was cooked to perfection, incredibly flavorful, and beautifully tender.
If you are in Tooting, this place is a must-visit. Excellent service and delicious, authentic food. We will definitely be back!

Smart Service, Incredible Grills, and Beautiful Interior
"We visited this restaurant yesterday as a large group of 13 people, and the experience was highly impressive. The restaurant features a very nice, welcoming interior design that sets a great atmosphere right from the start.
The service deserves special praise—our waiter was exceptionally polite, professional, and incredibly smart with how he handled our large table. To ensure everything went smoothly, he took the time to write names next to each order, meaning everyone received their correct meal seamlessly without any confusion or wondering whose plate was whose.
The food itself was amazing and incredibly generous in portion size; it is clearly designed for sharing, which made it perfect for our group. I highly recommend the mixed grills—the meats were perfectly cooked, though do note the food has a bit of a spicy kick to it, but it is absolutely worth it!
The only constructive advice I would offer the restaurant is to work more on their smoke extraction system. Because of the heavy grilling, the dining area can become a bit cloudy at times. Aside from that, it is a fantastic dining spot with top-tier service and food. A solid 4 stars!"

I recently visited Watan in Tooting and had a great experience. We were warmly welcomed by Asad, who made us feel comfortable right away with his friendly and attentive service.
The platter was amazing generous portions, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. Every dish we tried was delicious and well-presented. It’s definitely worth the money, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying meal in the area.
